Industrial Design Student · University of Twente
Taking ideas from concept to prototype through 3D modeling, rendering, and digital sketching.
I create visuals and models that clearly communicate both concept and experience, from early ideation to refined representation. Designing products that create meaningful connections between people and their daily lives.

I'mTyoma(Artemii)Zelenin,athird-yearIndustrialDesignstudentattheUniversityofTwentewiththeabilitytotakeideasallthewayfrominitialconcepttophysicalprototype.
I enjoy working with 3D modeling, 3D rendering, and digital sketching, creating visuals and models that clearly communicate both concept and experience, from early ideation to refined representation. Through my projects, I've worked on consumer products, wearables, support tools, and interactive experiences.
My focus is always on designing products that create meaningful connections between people and their daily lives. Alongside product design, I also develop design portfolios that bring clarity, structure, and visual style to my work.
Outside of coursework, I'm an active and social member of university committees, where I contribute to events and community building while strengthening my teamwork and organizational skills.

Infusion Bliss Tea Pot
Digital product sketch of a glass teapot with wooden lid and stainless steel infuser. Shows pouring action and detailed material rendering including transparent glass and liquid.

Sony Bluetooth Speaker
Digital concept sketch of a portable Sony speaker with display, touch controls, and mesh grille. Includes hexagonal mini speaker variant and hand interaction demonstration.

ThermoSmart Heat Pump
Comprehensive design board for a smart heat pump with remote control system. Features structural ideation sketches, foam model prototypes, a sleek white remote with copper ring and digital display, and the final heat pump render in context against a brick wall.

Anchor Bench
Public seating concept designed as an anchor-shaped bench with integrated ring light. Features wooden slat seating built into a sculptural black anchor form, rendered in a nighttime plaza setting with palm trees to demonstrate scale and ambiance.
Graphic Design

Business Cards
Four creative business cards (85x55mm) with front and back designs: Industrial Design Engineer with Pinnacle Engineering branding, DJ Tyoma with Spinlab speaker graphics, F1 Pit Stop Mechanic with Apex Alliance racing team, and University of Twente student card. Each card features themed design elements matching its profession.

Motivational Poster
A3 poster featuring a weightlifter silhouette with the quote 'It's not how you fall, it's how you get up'. Dramatic black and grey gradient background with bold distressed typography creating a powerful, inspiring visual.

Data Visualization
A3 data visualization poster titled 'Personal Sound vs Favourite Shapes' combining two survey questions. Split design with white/cyan side showing headphones and geometric shapes, black/red side showing speakers - creating visual contrast through color and shape-based data representation.

Paper Cup Instructions
Wordless and numberless visual instructions showing how to transform a paper cup into a phone stand. Features colorful geometric triangle patterns (orange, teal, yellow) with clear cutting guidelines. Shows both the flat template and assembled 3D result.

Ancient Heat Festival Identity
Wristband designs for 'Ancient Heat 2025' Egyptian-themed Hip-Hop festival in Giza. Three variations: MINOR (sunset pyramid scene with pink sky), 18+ (magenta gradient), and VIP (teal striped design). Includes flat templates, physical mockups, and on-wrist demonstration.

Staircase Portfolio
Creative accordion-style portfolio designed as a staircase metaphor, representing growth as a graphic designer. Features a teal geometric cover and zigzag folding format that displays all portfolio pages in sequence. Shown as both digital render and physical mockup.
Workshop Projects

Rocking Chair Model
Foam carving project creating a scaled model of a rocking chair with navy blue seat/backrest and red curved rocking base, demonstrating material shaping and form development skills.

LH44 Logo
Laser cut metal Lewis Hamilton LH44 logo with wing design and chevron stripes, showcasing precision cutting and material handling techniques.

Candle Holder
Turned and milled stainless steel candle holder with circular base, tapered stem, and curved handle loop, combining lathe work with precision milling operations.

Van Model
Laser cut and assembled VW-style van model with purple sides, blue floral roof pattern, and detailed windows - demonstrating precision cutting and assembly techniques.

3-axis CNC milled aluminum pencil case with precision-machined slots and pockets, showcasing CAM programming and precision machining skills.
3D CAD & Rendering

Modular Playground Design
I developed a modular playground design in SolidWorks with configurable bridges and slides, realistic surface modeling, and structural simulations. I also produced renders and animations to showcase flexibility and validated the design's safety through load analysis.
University Projects

The Hex - Modular BBQ
We designed a portable hexagonal BBQ for students, with foldable tables, cupholders, detachable legs, and integrated storage. We built a metal prototype after sketching, cardboard modeling, and concept evaluation. In this project, I gained experience in functional analysis, prototyping, and usability testing.

Manual Coffee Grinder
I developed a manual burr coffee grinder for barista use, combining compact form, adjustable grind size, and ergonomic design. I did it by exploring concepts through sketching, mechanism ideation, and foam modeling. Final design featured a wooden body, stainless steel details, and a 2:1 gear ratio mechanism.

Smart Mafia Hat
We transformed the social game Mafia into a smart interactive product using a Mafia Hat with buttons/LEDs and a mobile app for role division and voting. Built with Arduino, laser-cut wood, and PCB soldering, the prototype created a more immersive, automated, and user-friendly group experience.

Mobile Coffee Kiosk
We designed a mobile coffee kiosk concept for Enschede Kennispark, combining a fast lane for commuters with a cozy seating area for workers and students. Based on interviews, fieldwork, and design workshops, we created a greenhouse-inspired kiosk with sustainable elements, professional equipment, and a scale prototype. The project enhanced my skills in human-centered design, prototyping, and team collaboration.

Adaptive Toddler Bottle
We designed a toddler bottle that adapts between sip cup and straw modes with interactive top figures for sensory engagement. We also developed full deliverables from ideation and CAD to cost estimation and packaging, focusing on usability, growth adaptation, and market viability.

Music Sleeve Bracelet
I designed and prototyped a wearable sleeve bracelet that enhances music listening with haptic feedback, screen display, and intuitive controls. The project combined ideation, prototyping, and CMF design to create an immersive, stylish product that turns sound into a physical, emotional experience.

Assistive Rising Stool
We designed with a participant living with congenital myopathy to create a lightweight, portable assistive stool that helps her rise independently from the floor. Through interviews, workshops, and prototyping, we developed a 1:1 functional model with wheels, handles, and ergonomic features. This project strengthened my skills in inclusive design, co-creation, and user-centered prototyping.

NoScroll - Digital Wellbeing Smartband
We designed NoScroll, a smartband and app that help users recognize and control doomscrolling habits through biofeedback, app activity tracking, and gamified motivation. Prototyped the band with HR sensors and LED feedback, built a companion app, and validated usability through user testing. The project combined UX research, prototyping, and business strategy to address one of today's most pressing digital wellbeing challenges.
